Political Heretic shows kairos by stimulating critical discussion through its bi-partisan perspective and range of links. Instead of treating gun control as a singular issue around which politicians may rally, posts on June 13, 2006 critique numerous pieces of partisan legislation in varying cities and states. Additionally, the blog features a bipartisan range of links to every major news network, CNN, national newspapers and popular political talk shows.

Political Heretic's writing style reflects the author’s background in newspaper journalism, lending an air of professionalism to the blog. Summaries and editorials are crisp, inquisitive, and avoid loaded questions and statements. Though Political Heretic relies on traditional media for credible information, it is skillfully written, and free of corporate restraints on publishing, making it a safeguard against selective prioritizing of news by media conglomerates.

Lack of comments concerning many of Political Heretics posts, despite it being linked to by a number of high traffic blogs, suggests that the site serves as neutral ground in the blogosphere.
